If error occurs: error while loading shared libraries: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/lib

For some Linux version (like CentOS), above solution may not work and still report same error. So what we need to do is ‘How to export LD_LIBRARY_PATH to all users and system services and set the path permanently

Create a file: vi /etc/

Add /usr/local/lib into the file

Run the command: sudo ldconfig

Check GSL version

gsl-config --version
